                Campground at Sebastian Inlet

We made our way back to hot Florida and my brown couch at Aunt Debby’s house. Ah! Another place that feels like home. I love being here. I get to see Debby and her family, and also Mamaw and Papaw, who live nearby.

I have a funny story about Mamaw. Another wonderful aunt of mine, Sandy, and her husband Nathan gave me a sweet toy for Christmas last year. It was some kind of animal, and it squeaked. I loved that toy!! Well da mommy and da daddy like to play a game where they ask me “Where’s Mommy?” and I look at Mommy. Then “Where’s Daddy?” and I look at Daddy. Then when we’re with Mamaw and Papaw, they do that with them. So I had left my new toy across the room, and da daddy asked me “Where’s Grandma?” and instead of looking at Mamaw, I went to get my toy. After that, the toy was called “Grandma.” Everybody thought that was pretty funny. I didn’t really see why it was funny, but it was nice to see them laughing and having fun.

From Debby’s house we went to a campground at a place nearby called Sebastian Inlet State Park. I had a great time there, and da mommy and da daddy got to go to the beach and swim. Again, “no dogs allowed” on the beach (Arggghhh!), but the campground area was a great place to walk. There were other dogs that I got to say hi to, and a little swimming area where I could cool off. The water tasted yucky. I tried to drink it every time, but it never got any better. Mommy and I walked a lot while we camped there. After I got in the yucky water she splashed me with good water from a spicket by the playground. And one day we took a long drive together, and that was fun too.

My swimming area at the Sebastian Inlet campground. Not a great beach, but okay for cooling off.
