BACK
TO SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE
Yay!!!!
After dropping Sandy off so she could fly home, we drove a long way, back
to Smith Mountain Lake! Ah! Feels like home. Da daddy painted some more, and da
mommy worked on the little box that she taps with her fingers. This is such a
relaxing place. We all love it here.
We
moved on to another fun place, Heather’s house. Heather is Daddy’s daughter. She
lives in another part of Virginia. Heather and her family have four great kids
and a little dog that barks … like a little dog. I didn’t play with that dog
much because she was very small and maybe a little afraid of me. She mostly
stayed on the couch hiding behind big pillows.
But
I did get to play with the two little boys. They had fun throwing the tennis
ball for me. And they have a huge yard – really, it’s a small farm. So I could
run around. They have goats that, of course, I had to try to chase (on the
other side of the fence). They also have a bunch of chickens that I DID chase
because they came to my side of the fence. I just wanted to play. They made
funny noises when I chased them.
One
day we went to the “botanical gardens” with our friend Johnny K. I had to stay
in the truck while the others walked around the gardens, but then we went to a
spot on a lake where I could run around, and I got in the water to cool off. This
was a fun day. Oh, and da mommy and I had to ride in the camper to get into the
park since they don’t allow dogs. (Shhhh!) It probably sounds like we break a
lot of rules, but the truth is, some silly people just don’t understand that
I’m part of the family. What is with this “no dogs allowed” anyway? I’m not
going to hurt anything!
